How long does your ramp need to be?
Enter the height of your step or threshold. We'll show the ramp length for each slope and which Maasters ramps cover it.
Measure straight down from the top of the threshold or landing to the ground where the ramp will start.

- 1
Measure the rise
Measure in inches from the ground where the ramp will start, straight up to the top of the threshold or landing.
- 2
Pick a slope
1:12 is the ADA standard and the safest choice for someone going up on their own. Steeper slopes need a helper or a powered chair.
- 3
Match a ramp
Choose a ramp at least as long as the result. If you're between sizes, go longer: the slope only gets gentler.
This calculator is a sizing guide. Slope needs depend on the user, the wheelchair or scooter, and whether someone is helping. For public or business entrances, check your local building code and the ADA Standards for Accessible Design.
